Well, once again, we watched another year recede into our collective rearview. At my advanced age, I've become accustomed to these New Years and all the promise they bring. There was a time when I made resolutions, intent on betterin' myself with each new beginnin', but as I grew older I realized that, at some point, you just are who you are. Luckily I am naturally awesome, so things ended up pretty great for me.
Lookin' Back
One tradition I have maintained is takin' a mind-gander back on the previous year to remember a few of my favorite events. Now that I've fully embraced this new online journal, I can finally share those memories with you. So here are my 5 favorite moments from 2015:
No. 5: When I beat Drake at his Own Game
You may recall, back in the fall of 2015, this young Canadian feller who sings a bit and took the name of a male duck released a music video where he danced mighty funny around an empty room. It created quite a stir online and I couldn't help but offer my own response. https://twitter.com/old_trapper/status/656980287327354880 I thought I did a mighty good job.
No. 4: When I Gave My Fans Exactly What They Wanted
Now that I've realized a bit of fame, some might think I'd turn my back on the fans who got me here. To that I say, pish posh! My heart will always lie with the workin' joes who just want to come home after a hard day earnin' an honest livin' and unwind with their family and a massive amount of smoked meat. For those people, I created The Big Beef Box, and suddenly became an even greater snackin' icon. Somethin' I'd previously thought to be impossible. https://www.instagram.com/p/ys4pvXQpzW/
No. 3: TMW HuffPo Jacked My Swagger
Listen, I understand I'm a funny guy, and I know I possess a certain je ne sais quoi (as my French friends might say) that makes the Trapper life seem irresistible, but people really need to come up with their own gags. https://twitter.com/old_trapper/status/639984510604455936
Of course all these moments paled in comparison to the moment when my humble Beefs debuted on national television. I never believed I'd be a TV star, and I know I owe it all to my dedicated fans . Thanks so much for your support in 2015 and stay tuned, because 2016 will be even better. All My Best,
