The Old Trapper Seven-Course Jerky Feast

The Old Trapper Seven-Course Jerky Feast

So you like beef jerky. I hear that, I respect it, I’m honored to meet a fellow jerky fan. But do you love beef jerky? Do you live your life by the tenets of smoke and seasoning? Do you strive daily to find ways to fit more beef jerky into your life and stomach? Then I have a meal plan for you.

Come, friends, and partake in a feast for the ages: my expertly curated seven-course beef jerky feast. It’s not for the faint of stomach, but for the true jerky imbiber, there’s no finer cuisine on Earth.

Course 1: Hors d’oeuvre

Any seven-course meal worth its salt must start with an hors d’oeuvre: a teaser to interest the palate and prepare you for the rest of the meal. For my beef jerky feast, what better way to intrigue your tongue than with a hint of my Hot & Spicy Beef Jerky? I recommend serving it with a slice of your favorite cheese on a crostini or cracker, with a nice glass of water to cool off.

Course 2: Soup

What better way to showcase the delicious, peppery smokiness of my Peppered Kippered Steak than mingled with a hearty potato leek soup? You’ll want a small bowl, because this combo is so tasty you’ll want to ruin your appetite with it. Don’t forget to garnish each bowl with a little extra kippered steak for that extra oomph of flavor and style.

Course 3: Appetizer

For a delicious appetizer, my Beef N’ Cheese sticks are a perfect starter course on their own. The creaminess of American cheese paired with the smoky, savory taste of my beef sticks needs no addition.

Course 4: Salad

The ideal salad course should provide a burst of freshness in between courses to get you ready for the main event. I like to serve sliced pieces of my Teriyaki jerky on a bed of field greens, dressed with a ginger sesame vinaigrette with a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top. The sweetness of the teriyaki and the smoky savoriness of the meat will be the perfect balance for your daily leafy greens.

Course 5: Main Course

Here it is: the main event. The moment you’ve been waiting for. An oversized platter of my Old Fashioned Beef Jerky served with a side of parmesan mashed potatoes and roasted veggies will satisfy your hunger and your taste buds all at once. It’s a perfect way to showcase the natural tenderness and smoky, top-notch flavor of the jerky.

Course 6: Dessert

Now, I know what you’re thinking: beef jerky for dessert? Can it be done? If you have your doubts, you clearly haven’t tried a slice of my beef jerky pecan pie. It turns out, smoky savory beef jerky is a natural counterpoint to the earthiness of pecans. Don’t knock it ’til you try it.

Course 7: Mignardises

Alas, all good things must come to an end; so here we are at the last stop of our jerky feast. The idea of a mignardises, or “sweets,” is to end the meal on one last treat. So, to wrap up our culinary journey, may I recommend my deli-style beef sticks dipped in dark chocolate? The bitter-sweetness of dark chocolate is a surprising complement to my smoky, savory jerky.

Perfect For Every Meal

Well there you have it, folks: it turns out those with the dedication and culinary license can find a way to eat beef jerky for every meal. But at the end of the day, you can’t go wrong with just beef jerky, au natural. That’s the thing about my beef jerky: it’s delicious no matter how you have it.
